Can one night stands really be good for you? Can casual sex really help your health? According to one recent study the answer is yes!
We're having sex with twice as many people as our parents and many people would think that's a bad thing. But not so it would seem. Researchers at Cornell and NYU in the USA have concluded that a quickie can do a lot for your health. For a start it will boost your self-esteem. Especially if you are having a no-strings fling.
Apart from boosting your confidence, a casual hook-up have lower your levels of anxiety and depression. The researchers wanted to debunk the idea that one night stands can leave you feeling worthless and low. They got 371 US college students to keep a diary for 12 weeks about their sexy encounters and how they felt about themselves afterwards. The research showed that casual sex was associated with higher self-esteem and life satisfaction as well as lower anxiety levels and less depression.
One of the results which really surprised the researchers, and our Leeds Escorts was that there was no difference between men and women, meaning that both participants in the one night stands benefited from their night of passion!
